Teacher of English


F/T  - NQT / MPS – starting September 2020

We are looking to appoint a well qualified and creative teacher to join our experienced team of English  teachers. Applicants must be passionate about teaching English and demonstrate a strong subject  appreciation . This position would be an excellent opportunity for a teacher to learn and  develop and would be suitable for an NQT as well as a more experienced teacher.

Applicants must be able to teach all ages up to GCSE.

Being an all-through school, our team of secondary and primary practitioners, deliver a broad and balanced curriculum for our small, community school.

Cleaning Assistant— 12.25 hours per week, term time only

Grade 1 (£9.00 per hour) fixed term in the first instance


 We are looking for an extremely reliable and trustworthy person to undertake cleaning duties at our  school. They must be prepared to work as part of a team, as well as use their own initiative when working alone. Previous experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

Code of Practice on the English Language requirement for Public Sector Workers. From 1 October 2016 there is a statutory duty to ensure that each person in a customer-facing role speaks fluent English. This is in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016. The Code states that "Members of staff who, as a regular and intrinsic part of their role, are required to speak to members of the public in English or Welsh if they are considered to be working in a customer-facing role."

This is relevant to but not limited to the following types of job roles; Teaching and Teaching Assistant roles, administrative and receptionist posts.

The ability to communicate at ease with stakeholders and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
