Mosaic Comes Home.....

posted 08 Apr 2018

A mosaic made by students of St Martins Secondary Modern school in 1968, has returned home.

The piece of art was commissioned to take pride of place in the board room of the Iron Bridge power station, where it remained.

Following news in 2016 that the power station was to be decommissioned, school was contacted to see if we wanted it returned.

Mr Tim Jones, chair of governors and Mrs Clare Ellis visited the site to see if this was feasible. And thanks to Mr Jones, and one of his business associates who very kindly removed the mosaic from the power station and brought it back to school.
