OPTIONS for year 9 - 2026

Step 1: (Completed) 15th January: Year 9 Learning Review Meeting

• Step 2: 7th February: Videos are on our school website which run through each choice available - these explain the course, assessment and teaching that will take place (these are created by subject teachers)
• Step 3: Online forum
• Steps 4: 11th February: The options booklet will be sent home via email and will detail all information about the available courses including the core subjects which all students will continue to study
• Step 5: 5th March: Options long report emailed home (core subjects to follow in April)
• Step 6: Online form goes live 6th March: Students will have a week submit their first, second, third and reserve choices. Form will close 13 March 6pm. 
• Step 7: March: Meetings to discuss option choices, guardians included in conversation if any changes from choices submitted 
• Step 8: April: A letter detailing choices will be sent out via email with time to discussion any queries.
• Preparation work will be set over the summer for options selected
