Sports Centre Assistant
Casual (5-10 hrs per wk after school) Grade 2 (£ £12.65 per hour)
Working after school, as the face of our school to members of the public this is an important customer facing role.
This is a job is varied which will be suited to a proactive individual who can be
adaptable to the changing requirements of the sports centre.
The successful candidate will work to ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the school’s Sports Centre, including the main hall, swimming and associated changing rooms.

St Martins School, is part of The 3-18 Education Trust, a multi-academy trust with students aged from 3-18 and which works collaboratively to provide interesting and exciting opportunities for staff to share ideas, resources and expertise, for the benefit of the students.

Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
Code of Practice on the English Language requirement for Public Sector Workers. From 1 October 2016 there is a statutory duty to ensure that each person in a customer-facing role speaks fluent English. This is in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016. The Code states that "Members of staff who, as a regular and intrinsic part of their role, are required to speak to members of the public in English or Welsh if they are considered to be working in a customer-facing role."
This is relevant to but not limited to the following types of job roles; Teaching and Teaching Assistant roles, administrative and receptionist posts.
The ability to communicate at ease with stakeholders and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
